This month, you may or may not have noticed that I participated in Movember.
What is Movember? Well, it’s held in November and it’s a month where men grow moustaches to raise awareness and funds for men’s health issues, specifically prostate cancer and testicular cancer. Prostate cancer is the most common cancer among Canadian Men. One in 7 men will develop prostate cancer during his lifetime and one in 28 will die of it.
As November ends, I thought I’d post a photo of the results below. I was hoping for a sexy, Tom Selleck look, but as you can see that’s not the case. Of course up until 2 weeks ago it wasn’t visible to the naked eye, so that’s something I suppose
Now since Movember is also about raising money as well as awareness, I’d like to remind everyone who hasn’t already to help support the fight against prostate and testicular cancer. You can do so at www.movember.com a trusted website dedicated to raising money for this cause.
Finally, I’d like to thank fellow filmmaker Philip Bloom (www.philipbloom.net) for inspiring me to participate.
Thanks to everyone for your support.
